Educated at Hamilton Boys High, Mike excelled in sports, art and commerce. Upon leaving school he worked in the advertising & copy department at the Waikato Times. He was a top tennis player at 14, had his pilot’s licence at 17 and circuit raced motorcycles for Yamaha & Suzuki.

Moving to Auckland in 1979, Mike opened a motorcycle shop in Barrys Point Road, Takapuna which was the very successful Cyclespot.

3 years later he was involved in the motor trade with marketing and management roles with Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Meeting so many people and enjoying the satisfaction of being able to offer outstanding customer service lead him into a passionate new career in real estate.
